 Sirisha Bandla's Space adventure!!
A girl from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, is ready to fulfill her starry aspirations. Sirisha Bandla will travel with Sir Richard Branson and five others aboard Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo Unity on Sunday, July 11th.
The 34-year-old is a member of Virgin Galactic's quest to make space tourism a possibility. If Sirisha Bandla and her colleagues' mission becomes successful, it might open the path for the rest of us to fly to space eventually. After Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, Bandla will be the third Indian-origin woman to travel into space. Bandla will be assessing the human-tended research experience on this expedition. Utilising a University of Florida experiment that necessitates the use of numerous portable fixation tubes that will be activated at various times throughout the flight profile.”
Here's all you need to know about her incredible journey from Andhra Pradesh to space.

The Story of Sirisha Bandla
Sirisha Bandla was born in the Andhra Pradesh district of Guntur. Her parents had immigrated to the United States by that time. She travelled to the United States with a guardian when she was four years old, where she joined the rest of her family. After finishing her education in the United States, Bandla earned a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2011 and an MBA from George Washington University.
She had her sights set on the skies from the start. Bandla's paternal grandpa, a retired scientist Dr. Ragaiah told Reuters that Bandla was always captivated with space: "From the beginning, she was very much fascinated towards the sky, gazing at the sky, space, how to enter space and what is there." Bandla aspires to be a NASA astronaut. But her vision problems (eyesight) got in the way. When she was a student at Purdue, a lecturer told her about a job possibility in commercial space travel. She pursued it and quickly developed a passion for policy in the sector. She is presently Virgin Galactic's Vice President of Government Affairs. Bandla wishes to see more diversity in the aeronautics industry.
Bandla discussed the need for increased participation of women and people of color in the commercial spaceflight sector in a 2020 interview with the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program: “Especially for women and people of color, I don’t often see students that look like myself in this industry just yet''. she states. They are hopeful that we would expand this network and increase the number of people who are able to join this sector.” She urged young students to enter the business and share their expertise so that anybody who wants to join in the future can.

Adventure of 11th July 2021
Sirisha Bandla will board a Virgin Galactic winged rocket spacecraft that will take off tomorrow from New Mexico.
Sirisha Bandla, Virgin Galactic's vice president of government affairs and research operations, will be the second Indian-born woman in space after Kalpana Chawla. The 34-year-old will board a Virgin Galactic winged rocket spacecraft, which will depart from New Mexico tomorrow with six passengers.
Virgin Galactic will launch its rocket ship from an airplane at a height of around 55 miles (88 kilometers). Richard Branson, the creator of the Virgin Group and a billionaire, will also be on board the rocket ship.
“I am so incredibly honored to be a part of the amazing crew of #Unity22, and to be a part of a company whose mission is to make space available to all,” Bandla added. As per reports, Bandla will be the fourth astronaut on board the Virgin Galactic rocket ship, serving as a researcher.
Bandla can be seen stating in a video posted by Virgin Galactic that she was "speechless" when she heard she would be one of six individuals on board the Virgin Galactic rocket ship.
Branson announced his journey to space on July 2. "I've always been a dreamer. Branson states,'' My mum taught me to never give up and to reach for the stars''.Virgin Galactic intends to do three more test flights before flying "clients" into space. Branson was meant to be on the second demo, but he pushed it ahead in an apparent attempt to outdo Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. He stated on Wednesday, following the launch of a set of satellites by Virgin Orbit, it becomes necessary for his clients to watch him ride his rocket ship first before they board. On July 20, Jeff Bezos will fly into space.
