2021 Tech Developments

Diving into 2021 with some cutting-edge technologies, next-generation sanitisation, and, of course, incredible gadgets.

2021 Tech Developments

The previous year brought with it a slew of new problems, as well as a fresh perspective on life in general; technology was no exception. If 2020 was the year of great disruption, 2021 looks to be the year of incredible gadgets. Gadget manufacturers are putting in a lot of money in 2021 to resurrect their companies with some spectacular launches.

Apple's Newest Devices

We saw updated iPhones, iPads, Airpods, and Macbooks last year; this year, Apple plans to release even more versatile iPhones with Bionic A14 chipsets that can catch improved images and videos, which can be edited on the fly without breaking a sweat.

Airdressers

Airdressers will become more mainstream and sophisticated. They are perfect additions to the walk-in closets because they sanitise, deodoriser, and refresh your clothing at the touch of a button for the uninitiated.

Sanitation devices

Companies have rushed to create devices that can aid in the war against the pandemic. A smartwatch with a pocket for carrying a sanitisation spray is in the works. Simply press a button, and the disinfectant will be sprayed directly onto your hands. The facemask will now become digital, with fans and improved filters attached, allowing you to breathe easier while remaining healthy.

Android phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors

This year the Snapdragon 888 is expected to appear in a slew of high-end Android devices. From Samsung to OnePlus, these cutting-edge chipsets will be available on their respective smartphones. OnePlus has already stated that SD 888 will be included in the OnePlus 9, Asus has stated that the higher Plus version of SD 888 will be included in the Asus ROG Phone 4, and Samsung has stated the same. These smartphones would be 5G capable. Users will be able to play more powerful games, multitask more effectively, and enjoy longer battery life due to the chipset.

Self Automated Vehicles

Though self-driving cars from companies like Tesla have been seen driving themselves on highways and expressways for short distances, the driver must be vigilant at all times. The next big thing is fully autonomous vehicles, which can move from point A to point B without the need for human interference. Simply enter the coordinates, and the car can navigate you to your destination on its own, even on congested city streets. Tesla has already stated that its vehicles would be completely autonomous. Others, such as Zoox and Hyundai, have been working on this technology for some time, and we might see them on the streets very soon.
