Founders and Beginning

Ashutosh Vikram, Sachin P Jose, Vasudevan Chinnathambi, SOIL alumnus, Sharath, Thirukumaran, Kartheeswaran, and IIM-Kozhikode alumnus founded Ninza Cart in May 2015. The firm provides a platform for farmers to sell their goods directly to shopkeepers. Sharath co-founded Ninjacart in 2015 as a B2C hyperlocal grocery delivery system with Thirukumaran, Vasudevan, Kartheeswaran, Sachin, and Ashutosh after noticing a vacuum in the food distribution business and a chance to create quality through technology. They quickly discovered, there was a huge need for a digital marketplace for fruits and vegetables, and that the old supply chain for perishable items was ineffective, and therefore shifted to a B2B Supply Chain platform. These serial entrepreneurs previously co-founded EduRaft (a business for education classifieds) and Shout App (a location-based social network app).
