India's First Sand Sculpture Museum in Mysore!!

This Museum of Sand Sculpture is the brainchild of MN Gowri, one of India's leading sand sculptors. It took Gowri, a bachelor of fine arts, four months of hard work, and unfailing commitment to creating this special museum.
The Sand Sculpture Museum provides an imaginative environment for artistic works as an exceptional example of creative brilliance. Complex carvings on the beach, the delicacy of the sculptures, and their distinctive themes make it worth visiting. The Museum of Sand Sculpture shows about 150 sand sculptures of 16 different themes, mounted over an area of 13500 sq. feet. Using over 115 truckloads of sand, these sand sculptures were made. In the museum, various fascinating themes ranging from Mysore history, wildlife, history, instances from various religious epics and mythologies and legends have been used. These sand sculptures made entirely with sand and water and a limited amount of glue, captivate any tourist with their enthralling elegance. These sand sculptures will last for up to 1 year. In the city of Mysore, this eco-friendly attraction is created over a spread of lush green area.
Timings
The museum is open every day of the week. The Sand Sculpture Museum's visiting hours are from 8.30 AM to 6.30 PM. The Sand Sculpture Museum entrance fee is Rs.40 per person for adults, while it is Rs.20 per person for children.
Location
It is about 6 km from the Mysore bus stand. Tourists may either rent a taxi or bring an auto-rickshaw to the exhibition. Tourists can also visit the Chamundeshwari Temple as it is situated at the Sapthamathruka Style, at the foot of the Chamundi Hills.
