2. Wright Brothers Airplane

A full-scale recreation of the 'Kitty Hawk', the Wright Brothers' airplane, was created by the museum's display team with technological assistance from the National Aerospace Laboratories, marking the momentous achievement that enabled humans to fly. On December 16, 2003, the replica was mounted in VITM to celebrate the centenary of the successful flight of 'Kitty Hawk' by Wilbur and Orville Wright in North Carolina on December 17, 1903. VITM is the only Asian museum that has a full-scale replica of the aircraft. An authentic piece of wood used in the 'Wright Model E', the single propeller aircraft flew in 1913 by the Wright Brothers, is a star attraction.
